★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Giant shop, with a fuel station, restaurant, outdoor DIY drive-in, food market, in-store MediaMarkt. It could be such as great place, but the assortment isn't that appealing. Of the price is to high, or the quality is poor, or you to buy it in large quantities, or a specific variant isn't available.

They send promotional leaflets to their customers every 2 weeks. The model is always the same: they present a promotion (in % or 3 for the price of 2 or similar) on a RANGE of products (one brand or even mix and match in several brands) and give an EXAMPLE product from the range. When you buy anything else which clearly falls within the range of advertised products, 9 out of 10 times the promotion is not deducted at the register. When you go to complain at the customer service desk, they try to get rid of you by saying the promo does not apply to that particular product. When you ask to see a manager they never come. You have to firmly state they are legally obligated to honor advertised promotions and hold your grounds for 20 minutes before they finally pay you back. They do that for one customer but everyone else after that still gets scammed.
At Makro, the adage "caveat emptor" (let the buyer beware) is more true than anywhere else. No wonder this chain makes a loss in Belgium
