At Makisu, we have a healthy obsession with sushi… We literally travelled across the globe to find the most flavorful & awesomest recipes to put the sunshine back into your sushi-experience (it’s a hard job, but somebody’s got to do it…)
Choose one of our signature sushi rolls or compose a maki as unique as you are using our 4-step “create-your-own-maki process”. With more than 30 fresh and delicious ingredients to choose from, there are over 3 million possibilities to brighten up your taste buds…Only one question remains : “How do you roll?”
Since we believe your wallet shouldn’t stop you from indulging in your sushi-cravings on a daily basis, we brought back Henry, our friendly, state-of-the-art maki-robot from our last trip to Tokyo (Come and meet him at your next visit).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great sushi place! Everything was delicious, staff was friendly and the place is nice and comfortable. Variety of options from bowls to makis, all of them really tasty! It is also an affordable place, I really recommend it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is definitely delicious and fresh. Teriyaki rice bowl was a bit salty but between five good eaters we tried nearly the whole menu and that was the only disappointment. I was not sure if I should give 4 or 5 stars at first since if you are not early you have to wait for a long time to have your hands on those delicious food but this is their model and looks like it s working for them so prioritizing the taste I decided to give 5 stars.
The staff is a pleasant bunch of mostly young people with a great attitude.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used to love this place but the current menu is disappointing - most of the predesigned rolls are with chicken, and the new veggie ones (e.g. mystical forest) are mushy and not very tasty. What happened to the dragon rolls? They used to be my favorite - hope the management will rethink the current menu and bring back some of the old favorites.

This fast food outlet is part of an ever growing sushi empire and we can all be thankful that the winning formula of fresh, creative and reasonably priced fish creations has also opened here in Chatelain. "Slammin' Salmon" is the perfect take on a classic. However, with success comes popularity and this place is very busy. You can't reserve a table. Consider takeaway and use the sublime online ordering system (another thing that Antoine and his team has gotten spot-on). The vegi options vary in quality and the Donburi can occasionally be a bit dry. But you are unlike to find a better value-for-maki offer in Belgium.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent sushi with a decent quality/price ratio. It has a nice and tasty variety of sushi! They also used have new sushi suggestions monthly which is always interesting! It is recommended either to take away or to eat at the place. It gets crowded after 6 pm. The queue can sometimes get un to the entrance door but the staff is kind and the longest waiting time I’ve waited was around 30’

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This sushi spot fulfils any sushi craving. I like most the varied selection of predesigned sushi rolls and the creative use of some ingredients I’ve never seen in sushi rolls before. The ability to create your own sushi rolls is also great and the portioning is done in such a way that the rolls will come out great any way. The store and sit down area is clean and the service quick. The prices are also surprisingly competitive!
