I recomand this place because it is very nice place, nice room , you can feel like home if you compare with usual hotels. If you meet also the owner, Jean-Luc , than your day is even better. You can feel his honest hospitality :). It is also a quiet place with lot of green place to relax after a long day. Try and if i am not honest let your post here but if i am right give a like :) . You can have breakfast , not the dinner but this should not stop you since are a lot of restaurant nearby , round 3-10 min far :). I recomand also the walk in the nearby forest .Vist Romania , the west side Transilvania, Maramures side , north Moldavia-Bucovina winter and summer. Try the mountains during winter but also summer Transalpina or Transfagarasan that are special roads on high altitude for landscape but ignore the status of road :)

Great central location in a smaller village, but one with all necessary facilities. Modern and clean rooms. Awesome breakfast with homemade yoghurt, jams and bread, but also coffee/tea, fresh orange jus, eggs, fruit and buns from the bakery. And to top all that, a great host who speaks several languages and who will go above and beyond.

Le Valangré was one of the memorable highlights of my husband's and my trip to Europe this summer! It's taken me over a month to sit down and write reviews, and this is the one place that has been on the top of my list. We've told several friends about the "bed and breakfast in Belgium" where we spend a most-lovely weekend. You won't be disappointed if you decide to stay there too. Our favorite things? The uniqueness and rustic elegance of each room. The soft robes in the room...and the map of hiking trails. The perfect hospitality from the host--giving us just the right of amount of welcome and interaction, and just the right amount of privacy--as well as conversation across numerous languages (as my husband loved). The homemade continental breakfast, complete with a croissant from a local bakery and confiture made by the proprietor. And how could we forget what a lovely town is Chaumont-Gistoux? Walking down the street to Cafe de la Poste for dinner, and coming back to Le Valangré for the night, composed the best evening I can imagine. Thank you Jean-Luc and family for these great memories in Belgium. We would love to come back, and will recommend you to others. Merci beaucoup!

We stayed at La Valangre B&B for 2 nights over the weekend as an escape/staycation. The weather was springy, greenery around and very nice breezy sunny weather. The B&B is very cozy with only 5 rooms (4 on the 1st floor and 1 room (Cheval Blanc) downstairs with an amazing calm small grassy garden. Many food options are around the B&B and that’s good for such a small village. We stayed at the room “La Cabane”, it is the highest category room and the biggest among all. Pros: - Mr. Jean Luc is a great host, he is very welcoming from the moment you arrive and informative. He will guide you and give you good recommendations. - The property is very clean and well-kept with calm and relaxing garden. - The breakfast is kind of basic but homemade, fresh and yummy. It’s a highlight. - The room “La Cabane” was clean and spacious with very comfortable bed and garden view. - TV is present in the room along with all you need for comfort and good Wi-Fi. - We came with our small poodle dog and we had no issues. Also, other guests had their dogs. - Parking is within the property and it is free of charge for guests. - You get a village/countryside feel but yet you are within reach of shops or major cities (Wavre is close by and Leuven is 35 minutes by car). Cons: - No minibar or fridge in the room. Only downstairs in the common dining room. - The toilet when we first entered had a kind of smell, it was very clean but the toilet door being closed trapped some moisture smell maybe. - The shower can spill over the toilet since no edge so better be careful with water pressure. - Heating stops at night which can make the room slightly cold in cold nights. - If you have limited mobility, the stair for rooms is steep. So the book the room “Cheval Blanc”, the only room on ground floor. - There is not AC in the room (only Heater) so in hot summer might be an issue.
