★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disappointed with dinner last night at la giugnol - chose the entrecôte steak and could not eat 2/3 of it due to so much fat. Given it is the more expensive steak on the menu would not recommend! Waiter did ask why so much was left on the plate and took a look when I explained, and he said sorry. But they still charged me the full price and I left still hungry :(

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Years ago I went with 3 friends to this restaurant. I don't remember how the food was because my memory is clouded by 1 thing that happened. It was still the time of the paper cheques repas. When we had to pay, 1 friend wanted to use these. We calculated 2 x with 2 people to see if the correct quantity of cheques was put. After paying the waiter came back telling us 7 euro was missing (the amount of 1 chèque). We told him how many chèques should be there and if he could check again because we were sure it was correct. Next, the boss came telling us we were liars. And we needed to pay to 7 euro right away. We were shocked by the reaction and I will never return to a restaurant where I was treated this way. It turned our girls' night into a bad experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good location but very limited in how they serve customers. Empty terrace but still not allow outside seating for just drinks. I will not return. Go across the tracks to Charlotte where they are welcoming and have great selections.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to this restaurant as a group, and although we were early and they had plenty of warning, the service was extremely slow (waited 1 hour for starter and almost 2.5 hours for the main). We kept being told they did not have many of the things on the menu (including house wine) which they substituted for more expensive options - difficult when you are in a group! The ambiance and setting of the restaurant is nice, but unfortunately the food was okay at best, and wasn't worth the wait. A shame since they also have a nice patio!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice old style interior, correct service without any smile. The food is well presented. The portions are medium sized. The food is very tasty. I ordered a goat & salmon salad without salmon as I'm a vegetarian. I received a lot of lettuce with 3 thin slices of carrot, 1 cherry tomato & a slice of goat cheese. The price remained the same 17€. I've got to admit that after half an hour I felt hungry again. I guess you have to go for a menu at 32.5€ min in order to have eaten enough.
