Cheat on your entrance test. I didn't and I ended up in a group where many people struggled to speak a single sentence in French (B1.2). And while the school says it's possible to be transferred up once you start the term, that's often not the case. (In my case the class one level above didn't exist) Waste of money and quite misleading. If you have a basic level in French, you could just as well get a netflix account for some 6 euros and watch French films with subtitles. Really I should've given it 2 stars because I learned a number of things in terms of grammar, but I'm quite angry with them.

Arguably the best French classes I've had, though perhaps pricey to some (work pays). You progress slowly but surely, which is a plus since the content you learn during classes tends to stick. This is in contrary to what I am used to in French classes (going through the chapters too fast, in the end very little sticks). The teachers are all very good (have had 3-4 different ones in the past 9-10 months).

I have been studying here since July. My teacher is Julie Mainguet and she is absolutely great, never boring, hugely patient and always enthusiastic. AF is more expensive than the other schools in Brussels, but one should remember that the classes are way smaller, so that the medium price for each hour is roughly 10€ and the proportion implies that they are almost one-to-one lessons, unlike CVO or EPCF.

It is the best place to learn french !!!!!!!!!!! I knew some french before taking classes at l'Alliance thanks to school but now I can hold conversations with my belgian friends in french and I learned to do that in 3 months only !!! Thank you l'Alliance!!! And thank you to my teacher who was really nice with us. I recommend 100% Grazie mille

not a good academy for learning full french grammar and be prepared for a fluent french. Their focus is on conversations, something that you can have with French speaking friends. Really unsatisfied for the relation cost and hours have taken (350 - 390 per 2 months for 20 to 30 hrs). The hours depend on holidays, the eastern week or the school just close and you don't complete the full hours. Teachers are not well prepared, during the 6 months i have been there, only one teacher was good. The others no! For the cost you paid, you are waiting for good quality, good installations, and well-cleaned bathroom. It is not the case.

The worst teaching method ever! If I had known it - I would have avoided it! The course looks like: for 30 minutes teacher asks everyone “how did you spend your weekend”. Facepalm! Like she was not aware that we had lockdown…. The rest: 15 minutes for grammar. Very quick. The rest 1,5-2h: working in groups. So, in practice you just talk to other people who, like you, do not know French, or barely know it with terribly accents. It’s not only waste of time and money, but you hear MORE of bad accents than accent from native speaker! So who and for what I paid for? The funniest thing for the end: I was ensured at the enrollment that the course will be in French French but the teacher is using… Belgian French: numbers for example. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT.

I've been having conversation lessons with two different teachers here for the last couple of years - both teachers have been excellent and very attentive to my needs and interests. I highly recommend it!

I am very happy with the decision of joining Alliance Française Bruxelles-Europe starting January 2022. Before joining, I did research about best places to learn French in Bxl, and I found AF. They have a great deal of offers depending of your time/budget, their methodology is modern, the classes are quite fun, they mix written and oral communication. Apart from the modules, they organize cultural events and group visits to different places (authentic neighborhoods, EU Parliament etc) and it's a great way to socialize with other apprentices, learn French and make new friends. The staff and teachers are very nice and helpful. I totally recommend!
