Secreto duroc, baked goat cheese salad, and sea bass with cauliflower and goat cheese risotto were superb. It's a smart casual dining outlet that is definitely suitable for family and friends gatherings. Prices are very reasonable, considering the quality.

Nice atmosphere/restaurant, multilingual staff, extended food and wine menu, non alcoholic cocktails available, good price quality ratio... We had a good experience at Lam’Eau. Food can be a little more refined, I found it a bit heavy.

Very cozy and nice restaurant, with kind personnel and fast and courteous service. Menu is not too various, but there are 4, 5 types of meat and also fish. Dishes are quality cooked and the pricing is medium-high, I would say.

We reserved a few tables for 20 persons and our tables were placed upstairs in a cold room. The chicken was half alive in the dish ?!!! Fortunately the starter, bread with butter and salt, saved the night?

Avoid this place. There are lots of nice and affordable michelin resturants. Dont waste your money or your time. This restaurant is not for dining. Surely Michelin will hear about it.

The food was great. Only 3 stars because the server staff was very inexperienced (we had a very harrowing experience when a very hot Irish coffee was almost thrown in my lap), and also only 3 stars because the tables were way too close to one another, resulting in a very loud and noisy environment. For these prices we expected better.

DON'T GO THERE, worst restaurant in Mechelen! We were given the table next to the cold door, and they said immediately to us that there is any fish dish left (we came for the fish dishes). So my mother-in-law took the entrecôte, which was tasteless and very hard. The service was really bad, we had to call the waiters to clean up the table and to pray for a desert. We didn't eat well and the price was huge! I told to the waiter about our bad experience that night, and he answered "yeah, but that's the reality of going to a restaurant a saturday night, especially the saturday before Valentine's Day. Excuse me?! Do we have to accept this bad service, bad food, limited menu for price like € 33 a dish?! Really bad experience!

Very disappointed. Although we made a reservation with 2 weeks prior, we were seated upstairs in a cold room, due to “full capacity” downstairs. Most of the persons who ordered the chicken had to send it back because it was uncooked. Considering the prestige of the restaurant and the prices, you would expect to receive a decent meal. Would not return for seconds!
