Le sort de ce monument aura tenu la commune en haleine pendant des années, contrariant même la grande opération de rénovation urbaine de la Grand-place.
Un transfert rendu nécessaire pour pouvoir restaurer la tour classée monument historique, mais surtout pour des raisons de sécurités.
La tour semble encore en bon état.
The Quaregnon war memorial will leave Grand Place for the Espinette cemetery.

A transfer made necessary to be able to restore the tower classified as a historic monument, but above all for security reasons.
The tower still appears to be in good condition.
