★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited Bruges and tried several of the chocolate shops along Wollestraat near Markt and Burg during trips to Bruges in recent years. Pralinette (L'Atelier du Chocolat) has been one of our favourite places tried during these visits.
Generally speaking, the pralines, truffles and other chocolates you can buy at most of these places are very good. However, we found those tried from Pralinette Chocolatier to be a bit more refined and rich in flavour which made it most preferred for us.
At most of these chocolate shops, you basically pick-and-pay pralines, truffles and other chocolates you want to try. You pay by weight (per 100 grams) or by box with a predetermined number of pralines. We preferred the shops like Pralinette where the chocolatier behind the counter selects your chocolates, per your choice and boxes them for you.
In the end, there are quite a few chocolate shops on Wollestraat but this is one that we most enjoyed. We'd probably make our way here first during our next round of chocolate shop visits on this street during future visits to Bruges. We'd also suggest to others to try 2-3 different shops, this allows you to compare and contrast to decide which chocolates you like best.
