1995: Een tweede kans voor de kringloopvisie
Koen besloot om de kringloopvisie een tweede kans te geven. In 1995 opende hij met de 800.000 Belgische frank aan opbrengst van vzw Evergreen een eigen kringloopcentrum in de voormalige cinemazaal Rubens in Lier.
Een nieuwe start, een nieuwe naam
Tijdens het zoeken naar een nieuwe naam voor zijn kringloopcentrum, stootte Koen na lang zoeken op "Opnieuw & Co”. Dit was in 1995 de naam van een kringloopcentrum in Halle van initiatiefnemer en coördinator Paul Deknopper.
Koen vond dit een sterke naam en stelde zijn collega’s vriendelijk de vraag of hij deze naam ook mocht gebruiken. Met succes!
Kringloopwinkel Opnieuw & Co in Halle werd later overgenomen door onze collega’s van Vilvoorde en veranderde op dat ogenblik van naam.
Momenteel is Opnieuw & Co dus nog het enige kringloopcentrum in België dat zo heet.
Vrijdag de 13de brengt geluk bij Opnieuw & Co
Opnieuw & Co opende op vrijdag 13 oktober 1995 haar deuren in de Peltzerstraat 13. Dit vieren we tot op de dag vandaag nog steeds door onze klanten op vrijdag de dertiende 13% korting te geven.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you give to grateful people, they feel overwhelmed with how fortunate they are and how good you are. Otherwise, you are being misled. Saying, "Well, everyone else is doing it" is no excuse. I do remember a place called containerpark that I'll be visiting more often next time.
