★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I never Kayaked before getting to this place. It's not very easy for the first timer but the views along the river will make your try well worth the effort. The only bit is the standard package rents you a kayak for 3 hours ( and it costs 16 EUR) it might look cheap per hour but most of the people kayak here for well less than 2 hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fair price for the 3 hour rent. Nice way to get some exercise and another view of the ancient city. Only downside in my opinion is that the site says that it is possible to rent canoe's for one or two persons but at the reception we found out that it was only possible for odd-numberd groups to have a one person canoe. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good experience if you don’t know the city. The prices are really cheap and the localisation extra, in the city center. 3h rental is really enough even if you’ve never kayaked before! I would really recommend if you want a unique experience or if you’re in gent for a day only ! Moreover, we went on a weekday at midday and were almost alone on the canals.
