Een boogscheut verder is de dorpskern van Westerlo, de "parel der voorkempen". Om de hoek is de abdij van Tongerlo, ook een bezoekje waard. This campsite is only open during the summer months and is located near the forests of the Merode. Ideal for walkers. Not far away is the forester's house where you can sit in the sun while the children enjoy themselves in the playground. A stone's throw away is the village center of Westerlo, the "pearl of the forks". Around the corner is the Abbey of Tongerlo, also worth a visit.
J	Jasmin Peters on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sehr freundlich empfangen worden. Alles nette Leute drum rum. Kleine aber sehr gepflegte Anlage. Seltens so einen sauberen Platz erlebt. Schon fast Wahnsinn. Die Sanitäranlagen sind zwar schon älter, aber ebenfalls top sauber und instand gehalten. Es gibt einen Sandkasten, ein Trampolin, einen Kletterturm u. Eine mobile Tischtennisplatte. Hilfsbereitschaft ist auf dem Platz sehr groß geschrieben. Received very friendly. All nice people around it. Small but very well-kept area. Rarely experienced such a clean place. Almost madness. The sanitary facilities are older, but also very clean and well maintained. There is a sandpit, a trampoline, a climbing tower and the like. A mobile table tennis table. Helpfulness is very important on the pitch.
M	Moniek Fr on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Keurige kleine rustige camping. Zeer vriendelijk ontvangst. Er zijn 6 plekken voor niet-leden dus nooit hordes toeristen. Prettig geprijsd. Ik was op doortocht en wilde graag de campings bij de steden/ drukke wegen vermijden. Deze is daar perfect voor. Hij ligt toch redelijk goed op de route. Ik kon zelfs via de bar een ijskoud biertje verkrijgen na een halve dag in de auto. Heerlijk geslapen. Ik denk dat je je hier ook prima een aantal dagen kunt vermaken als je wil fietsen of wandelen in de omgeving. Ik kom zeker terug. Neat little quiet campsite. Very friendly welcome. There are 6 places for non-members so never hordes of tourists. Affordably priced. I was just passing through and wanted to avoid the campsites near the cities / busy roads. This is perfect for that. He is still pretty good on the route. I could even get an ice cold beer from the bar after half a day in the car. Slept wonderfully. I think you can also have a good time here for a few days if you want to cycle or walk in the area. I'll definitely return.
V	Veerle Loyens on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mooie grote staanplaats. Zeer rustig gelegen. Water en stroom aanwezig en mogelijkheid om het chemisch toilet te ledigen. Zeer proper sanitair. Je kan er zeer mooie wandelingen maken en vlak bij de abdij van Tongerlo. Nice large pitch. Very quiet location. Water and electricity available and possibility to empty the chemical toilet. Very clean sanitary facilities. You can make very nice walks and close to the abbey of Tongerlo.
