★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Indian orphanage based charity. Houses lot of indian handicrafts and gift items. Also found pickles, chutney's, packed naan, methi rotis, basmati rice. You contribute to a good cause with every purchase i believe. A breath of relief as there is no Indian store in waterloo. But the store is tucked away inside and amidst automobile workshops and buildings. Public transport users may have to walk about a km to reach it. Train station is walkable from the store. It may not be easy to find for first timers. But once you get there, it is like oasis in the desert, if you are looking for Hindu religious collectibles or just some spicy pickle and naan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No doubt my most favorite shop in Belgium. First of all, the staff are amazing. All volunteers, working hard and with passion for a better life for so many children in India. Many of them love India and have a connection with the country. Second, it is just amazing to walk into this real hidden gem. It is located in the back of an industrial area. If you don't know it's there, you won't get there. Third, it is full with amazing Indian furniture, in all colors, shapes and sizes. Whether it is a table, a closet or statue you are looking for, they will have much choice. There is a separate warehouse with many more larger items. There is a food section with spices and drie foods, you can find soaps and Indian products, books, and clothes. If you have any connection with India, or you would just like to browse around, go there. You will definitely come back a few times a year, even if it were just for the free chai, offered by the friendly volunteers ;-) And please tell you friends about the store too!
