I think this is saying everything. :) We had room number 1 which is the basement level and has a direct window to the canal. (amazing) The hospitality was awesome, the breakfast is optimal.
G	Gaëtan Soler on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Charming hotel with a very nice location. You can access all the city by walking. The decoration is lovely and respects the spirit of an old city like bruges. Don't expect lift or escalator inside, but that's the charm of a historic building.

Old fashioned room key which you can leave at the front desk, open 24h, 7/7. Our room was on the top floor. There is no elevator, but then again, we're young and adventurous, so didn't present a problem ;-). The family room was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom provided everything you need to freshen up. Great amenities as well! We enjoyed a drink at the bar too. Not everything on the menu was available but we worked things out. Overall, the prices are very reasonable. Walking inside I couldn't help hearing the Fawlty Towers tune playing in my mind. Something about the interior reminded me of the hilarious series from the 70's. This feeling was accentuated when the gentleman from the night shift took over at the reception desk. Pretty funny guy. To conclude, if I had to guess, I wouldn't have given this hotel 4 stars, but rather 3. That being said, we had a wonderful stay and won't hesitate to recommend the place to our friends!
