★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food and excellent wine. I need to head back to try the steak. Pork was good. Desert excellent. Wine excellent and a superb team working in the restaurant. Certainly worth a visit and you won’t be disappointed. Not crowded early in the evening so worth walking by and seeing if they have a spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good cocktail for the apero, the salad with the roast-beef was also incredibly nice but I was expecting more from the Americain and from the salad which came with the dish. The place is simple but cozy and the service is friendly as well so this place it’s a solid choice for a nice dinner .

The pastrami salad was terrible. The pastrami itself was just like oversalted sliced ham from the supermarket, nothing like the pastrami you get in the US. There was too much of it and too little of the asparagus or whatever other greens were advertised for the salad, which was basically impossible to eat due to the salt content.
The fish main was just okay. The fish did not taste bad, it just didn't taste like much at all, and the tomato and anchovy on top did not really work (and I adore anchovies). The pan-fried gnocchi though were sublime. They should have a dish of just those.
The servers kept - irritatingly - trying to take away the small snacks (some bread sticks and dip, the popcorn was too soggy and strange tasting). I told them something like 3-4 times to please leave them on the table. More broadly, I am puzzled by this Belgian thing of bringing something small like crunchy snacks whatever, then trying to take it away immediately when the food comes. What are you - looking to re-use it for someone else? Anyway, when a customer asks to please leave those, that should be the end of the story, not a beginning of a repeated string of attempts to take it away anyway, just because that's how they do it usually.
Too crowded and uncomfortable covid-wise too, so we did not stay for dessert/hot drinks.
Not impressed by the food, ambiance, or service and would not return.
