In deze poel komen amfibieën zich voortplanten. Hun overwinteringsgebied is in de bredere omgeving van de Boerenlegerstraat en het Arendsnestkasteel.
Amphibian pool constructed by the municipality of Edegem and managed by Natuurpunt Zuidrand.
Amphibians will reproduce in this pool. Their wintering area is in the wider area of the Boerenlegerstraat and the Arendsnest castle.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Those poor amphibiens are loosing their habitat due to a high construction density of their natural habitat. they should also close the streets to the traffic during the reproduction period of the year. in March . those poor amphibiens are lost and get smashed by cars and bicycles . shame on the city for not closing the streets during this very vulnerable season of reproduction.
