Rzeźba z brązu wysokości około 3 metrów, przedstawia orła trzymającego w szponach wyłowioną rybę, wykonana została przez zmarłego w 1958 r. duńskiego rzeźbiarza Hugo Liisberg, znanego jako rzeźbiarza zwierząt i pochodzi z kolekcji Middelheim. Pomnik ten został umieszczony w 1980 roku jako oprawa rzeźbiarska fontanny na Wapper. Posąg został zakupiony w 1951 roku przez miasto od artysty. Rzeźba została wykonana w dwóch egzemplarzach: jeden jest w Antwerpii, a drugi w duńskim mieście Sikeborg.  Fountain on the Wapper in Antwerp. The bronze sculpture, about 3 meters high, shows an eagle holding a fished fish in its claws, was made by the Danish sculptor Hugo Liisberg, known as an animal sculptor, who died in 1958 and comes from the Middelheim collection. This monument was placed in 1980 as a sculptural setting for the Wapper fountain. The statue was purchased by the city in 1951 from the artist. The sculpture was made in duplicate: one is in Antwerp and the other in the Danish city of Sikeborg. Carl Hugo Liisberg (born July 23, 1896 in Copenhagen, died April 12, 1958 in Hillerød)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A pretty square by Runenheis and a nice shopping area, but this is NOT a drinking fountain. I don't know why it says that in the description and wasn't able to suggest an edit.. I was actually looking for a place to fill up my bottle so I was disappointed when google maps brought me here. Quite misleading.
