I was asked for drugs in this place we were performing at in Belgium. I told the guy I dont have or sell drugs multiple times and was followed around. Told the owner, he didn't help and try to explain that the guy was a good person. I said no but he kept asking me. My bandmates were drunk and went to bed and I told them loudly hey guys im not ok with this and they would have rather slept. the guys also said racist comments about my bandmate from japan. on top of that while singing my eye was acting up. the owner got mad because I told my bandmates what happened loudly and escorted me out leaving me to sleep in the van saying i needed to cool off and my band mates never came down to help. when no one came out to check I left to Antwerp and came back to berlin. after all ive been through they took the side of the owner and i guess as a black man its ok when people assume and have the confidence to ask me for drugs i should except it. and after politely saying no multiple times its ok when i tell the owner im given the excuse hes a good person and didnt mean it that way. the guy who asked me for drugs asked me not to say he asked me because his girlfriend and friends were there and he didnt want to get in trouble with her or them. i walked him over didnt say a thing then a few minutes later he came asking me again. Not sure why people think as black people we should accept any and everything but I'm not. Any black performing here beware. They want the rhythm but not the blues! They will play funk and soul, but for them there's no connection to the stories behind the music so its just entertainment, which allows them not to take us as artists seriously and leave us in any situations.
