De SMILE laserbehandeling is een absolute aanrader. Nooit eerder in mijn leven heb ik zo goed kunnen zien, ik kan het nog steeds niet geloven. Ik ben heel blij met mijn keuze voor Oogkliniek 't Zand. Aan alles merk je dat dit een zeer professionele oogkliniek is met deskundige en zeer bekwame specialisten. Ik werd behandeld door dokter Steven Renier die me heeft betrokken en meegenomen in elke stap van het proces met duidelijke en goede uitleg. Ook het laseren zelf heeft hij uitgevoerd. Hij gaat tot het uiterste om precisie werk af te leveren en een uitmuntend resultaat te bekomen. Iets wat ook zeker gelukt is. Ook tijdens de operatie, die trouwens maar heel kort duurt, laat hij constant weten wat er gaat gebeuren en geeft hij ook aan dat alles goed gaat. De operatie zelf is volledig pijnloos en je merkt weinig van wat de dokter uitvoert. Na de operatie heb ik de rest van de dag rust gehouden en de ogen met de beschermende bril afgedekt. Hoewel ik meteen al kon merken dat ik goed kon zien, waren mijn ogen erg vermoeid en was het zicht nog niet helemaal stabiel. Dat was na enkele uren al een heel stuk beter en de volgende dag had ik al vrijwel perfect zicht. De beste keuze die ik ooit maakte!! Zowel voor de kliniek, dokter Renier en de behandeling zelf. Heel erg bedankt voor dit mooie geschenk van goed zicht! :D

Na 2 jaar brillen heb ik besloten om de SMILE lasertechniek te laten toepassen. Ik kan terug 100% perfect zien, kon het achteraf eerst niet geloven! Zeer goede en vriendelijke service. Zeker een aanrader!

Vorige maand heb ik, na lang twijfelen, mijn ogen laten laseren (Relex Smile) door dr. Steven Renier. Na een grondig onderzoek en uitvoerige bespreking niet meer getwijfeld. Dokter Renier legt alles zeer goed en helder uit wat er ging gebeuren en wat ik mocht verwachten. Na de behandeling, die in totaal zelf ongeveer 20 minuten duurde (laseren zelf per oog amper 15 seconden), weinig last gehad. S’avonds zelfs met mijn zonen al naar de voetbal op TV kunnen kijken. Ook bij de afspraken nadien steeds zeer vriendelijk en stipt ontvangen. Zeer blij met het resultaat! Alleen maar spijt dat ik het niet veel eerder heb gedaan.

Na lang twijfelen ben ik op internet wat informatie gaan opzoeken over ooglidcorrecties en dan was voor mij de website van de oogkliniek te Brugge dé website waar alles zeer duidelijk en professioneel werd verwoord en in beeld werd gebracht. Dit gaf me een goed beeld wat me te wachten stond. Bij de eerste consultatie in de oogkliniek gaf dr. Charlotte Renier zeer duidelijke informatie en werden er allerlei vooronderzoeken uitgevoerd, waarbij ik snel overtuigd was dat ik door haar de ingreep zou laten uitvoeren. De ingreep ging door in het ziekenhuis AZ Zeno te Blankenberge, waarbij alles zeer vlot is verlopen. Tijdens de ingreep heeft dr. Charlotte Renier op een zeer rustgevende wijze gemeld welke handelingen ze telkens uitvoerde, waarbij het voor de patiënt ook zeer geruststellend is. Na de ingreep werd de nodige nazorg gegeven door zeer vriendelijk verplegend personeel. Een week later ging ik op consulatie in de oogkliniek voor het verwijderen van de hechtingsdraadjes, hetgeen totaal pijnloos is verlopen. Over 3 maand heb ik een controle bezoek, maar alles is snel genezen en heb vrijwel nergens last van. Een dikke pluim voor het volledige team van de oogkliniek te Brugge.

Absolutely a bad experience, they make you wait more than half an hour for your appointment, I ask in the counter several times that my appointment was at 11:15 and they said they can not do anything for me... I wouldn’t recommend this place, unless you want to wait plenty of time or you’ve got the whole day free to waste it waiting in the sitting room.

It has been a while that I have decided to do a laser eye surgery on my eyes. I am 33 and My eyesight is 4.75 with -0.5 astigmatism. I have done the primary investigation two times before around 4 and 6 years ago, and I was eligible to do it but every time I was scared at the last moment. This time, I have convinced myself to do it and live without glasses. Living with glasses also has its own risks, so I would like to take a small risk of this surgery. However, I am confused about where to do this operation, in which clinic and which doctor. There is no way to find a good eye doctor, or in general, any kind of doctor, whom you can trust unless you look at the google reviews especially for the foreign people like me. Ironically, the google reviews, in my opinion, could be fake as well yet it is the start point of my investigation. After looking around, I noticed that your clinic has a good reputation among some others. However, I would like to ask some questions and I would expect you honestly reply to my review. I think the answers could help me and maybe some other people to make a good decision and hence if the answers appear to be convincing you can get more customers as well. I want to do the smile surgery, of course after consulting with the doctor, because it seems to be the best option and less side effect. I have seen several videos of this surgery in YouTube. The laser part which seems to be scarier is the easy part I guess, thanks to the German laser machine which all the clinic have one of them. But the second part when the doctor tries to take out the thin layer out of your eyes is really scary and the results can depend on the surgeon's agility and experience. 1) Is there any video of your live surgery available in YouTube? Suppose I chose you to do the surgery and I ask you to record the whole operation? would you accept that? 2) I saw some of the clinics guarantee their service for two years, for example, ww.eyecenter.be. What does that mean? does it mean if second or third operations would be needed they accept to do for free? Do you have such a policy in your clinic? 3)Is there any database or a public source that we can see the success rate or your operations and maybe compare it to others? can you tell us how many smile operations you have done so far? For example, I saw somewhere someone was complaining that he has to drop artificial tears for the rest of his life after the surgery every half an hour. Something like this ever happened to you? 4) Is there any differences between the laser machine that does this surgery, or almost all the clinics use the same brand and version. If there is a difference, could you please let us know which brand and version you use and when did you buy it and how often you update or change it with a newer version? 5)After the surgery, rubbing the eyes is prohibited. I am scared to do it when I sleep. Is there any solution for it? like a hard musk or protector that I can use at night for three weeks? 6)In general, I am wondering why this operation is this expensive (not only in your clinic but in general)? once you buy the machine and you do the operation in less than 5 minutes what are the costs? Is there any kind of insurance that covers some part of the cost? P.S. I will change the rate later based on the response of the owner.

An absolutely brilliant place and one of a kind when it comes to patient care!! Whilst Belgium might not be famous for its customer care, this practice goes so far and beyond for its customers, it’s something I’ve rarely seen. This place and doctor came highly recommended by a friend of mine and I’m so glad I decided to have laser eye surgery here. I’m now three weeks post operation and couldn’t be more happy. Don’t look any further.
