★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Completely rebuild from the ground up, large large and spacious shopping experience. The butcher inside cuts prime parts of meat and gives great advice on how to prepare the best entrecôte beef at home. I asked for a 1.2 kg piece of entrecote. Delicious!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The new place is absolutely great. Great selection of typical Belgian products, not great for international cuisine. The in-house butcher is really fantastic, perfect advice and cuts the best pieces for your needs upon request.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The new place looks awesome and tries to stand out from the older Delhaize format but it does not appeal to me. I noticed I rather opt to go to the Delhaize located in the town of Ekeren (Kloosterstraat) for 2 reasons. The main reason is the butcher. The selection of their charcuterie / sandwich spreads / salads is far superior to the one located at Maria-Theresialei and also is the quality and taste.
The second reason is the general atmosphere. It just does not feel comfortable shopping there. There is a sense of misplaces grandeur as for me the place is actually quite disappointing
