e	elvan ekiz on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We waited almost one hour for an aperitif plate (our drinks were almost finished before the plate showed up) and another half hour for the main dishes to arrive. We were told that the kitchen was in overcapacity due to the number of guests sitting in and outside of the restaurant. When arrived,the food tasted nice, but it was not our intention to finally have dinner at 21:30, which is quite late for a work day. We were offered a house digestif at the end of the meal as an apology for the inconvenience. Wish the service was at a normal speed, it could have been a nice experience.

Stew was good and prepared as a typical Flemish dish but the chicken exceeded all expectations: it was the most tender meat we've tasted in ages. The home made warm apple sauce was great too and served as a dessert in itself already. Besides the 8 euro bottle of Spa, the prices were more than fair and at the low end for Gent. The girl that served us was very friendly to us and helped us have a great experience overall.

As aperitif I can recommend the homemade lemonade and the rose wine. The food was delicious! I ordered vol au vent and my wife moussaka. The waiting time was rather long but the waiters did a clear communication. And we were offered a small soup. In short, very cosy restaurant and price/quality the food was TOP ?

It's all very nice, and there's nothing bad I can say about it; but it lacks a bit of unique charm to give it a 5 star. This said, it's very good and I don't regret to have been here; 5 stars I just réserve for something very remarkable.
