★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stefaan Verdonckt appears to have no feeling for or interest in customer relations. Emails are never, ever answered - I had to involve a Belgian resident friend of a friend to check on the (very slow) progress of a Quad 33/303 combination sent for upgrading. The amplifier subsequently developed a fault (one channel ceased working) so I sent it back at the end of June, hoping to have this examined and rectified. Four weeks later Dada have returned it to me without comment or explanation and without even opening the package or my covering letter - I consider this appallingly rude behaviour. Most certainly NOT recommended!

The pre had a problem on one input.
The power was for an upgrade.
The pre came back completely broken and unusable.
They did nothing on the power amplifier.
The return packaging was a complete disgrace, and after sales service was abysmal.
They claim to be experts but act like complete clowns.
Avoid at all costs

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My first experience of ordering a Quad 303 kit from Dada was excellent, but not so my second for a Quad 33 kit. After almost 3wks of no show they replied to my query by saying that the non arrival was "unusual". I actually sensed that they didn't believe me. I asked if they could send a replacement I would return one if they both showed. They refused. They said I would get a replacement when (if?) the carrier returned the first one to them! However until then I could order another on their website!!
Thankfully the kit arrived a couple days later. It was interesting that there were no customs documents (Belgium to UK) attached. Probably the reason it took so long.
Maybe in this post Brexit world 19 days to deliver from Belgium should not be a surprise and maybe I am being unfair. But at the very least it has exposed a distinctly non customer focussed approach by Dada.
It's a shame because to be fair, it is great that they exist. They provide a unique service and source of knowledge re Quad. But next time I will buy the parts separately from 5* Cricklewood electronics.
