★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Als kleine kleuter had ik vanuit onze tuin uitzicht op wat wij noemden 'den hert' die toen iets meer richting Kortrijk stond. De betekenis kende ik toen nog niet maar dat zwarte beest hoog op die rots boezemde wel heel veel ontzag in. Als ik erlangs rij dan moet ik daar steeds opnieuw aan denken.
 As a little toddler I had a view from our garden of what we called 'the deer', which at the time was a little more towards Kortrijk. I did not know the meaning at the time, but that black beast high on that rock did inspire a great deal of awe. When I drive past it, I keep thinking about it.

We vallen van de ene verbazing in de andere. De toekomstplannen geven aan dat de natuur moet wijken voor verdere verbouwingen aan het tracé van de Leie. Of Canada haar stukje grond mag houden, weet ik niet. Bevraag de actievoerders van NatuurpuntKortrijk.
Fun! Despite all travel bans still been in Canada. Because this monument is on the territory of Canada.
We fall from one surprise to the next. The plans for the future indicate that nature must make way for further renovations to the route of the Leie. I don't know whether Canada can keep its piece of land. Question the activists of NatuurpuntKortrijk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We saw this one first on our way to France. It was not too hard to find but there is not a lot of parking nearby. It's in the middle of a residential/commercial neighborhood.
