★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice point of view. History of the site is quite impressive. It'd be great if there were audio guides available and more details per room. Unfortunately, maintaining a site such as this fort must be so costly that a large part still has to be restored.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The fort is not that big, thought the exhibition is interesting, especially for those who wants to know more about Overlord Operation.
The view from the top is just amazing, you can see the whole town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This citadel has some history behind it. It was first built by local royalty in the middle ages and later on it became modified by the Dutch due to its tactical value.
It was even put in to use by the Germans during WW2 when it became a detention camp.
There is a tour with information about the castle but that is only in French. It is a shame that Non French speakers are left out on historic information.
The best part is the top of the citadel. It has some amazing vista's and you can spend hours on the grassy roof. Locals tend to catch some sun when its good weather.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely panorama from the top and a very interesting exhibition inside about the prisoners' life in the fort during the German occupation of Belgium in WWII.
Apart from the video (which is subtitled in Dutch), all the info panels are written in French only.
The concept of the exhibition surely dates back to decades and it would definitely worth refreshing a bit.
However, I'd absolutely recommend it for everybody because it brings closer an integral part of Belgium's WWII years successfully.
