Cool place with a great new selection of special movies each season. Bring your own snacks/drinks as they don't really sell them on site (bar a vending machine with drinks), but don't when it's a silent movie. The room is too small and quiet, you'd just annoy people. Book in advance if you can, they do sell out more often than you'd think. Students: take the €5 student's card and pay only €2 entrance each time. Come early, they do start on time and you can not enter anymore. If you can't seem to find it: just pass Bozar, in front of the stairs leading towards "Parc de Bruxelles" you'll find a door to your right with a "Cinematek" neon sign above it.

Come here from time to time when they play English language films. The dedication behind the team to try and play every film in its orignal format, be it 35, 16mm or even beta is commendable. Live live cinema.

One of the most underrated cultural places in Brussels, hosting one of the richest movies collection in the world! And the most outrageous fact is that this institution receives NO official funding like other national film institutes! The lobby/forum is free to visit, with the small but great permanent exposition (Wunderkamer). Even if you have only 20min, go inside, you will be pleasantly surprised, whatever is your level of knowledge. For movies buff, check the website for the program. There are a bunch of classic films showing up every year in original version (Chaplin, Hitchcock, Kubrick, Scorsese, Bergman, etc.) and other rare gems in thematic programs. Watching a classic film from the silent era with live piano music is a fulfilling experience which I recommend to everyone, and especially to casual viewers going usually in modern movie multiplexes. No food and no drinks allowed, no commercials or trailers, so movies start on time! The simplest is to be there 15min before the scheduled time, to avoid bad surprises.

Excellent movie theatre with always interesting movie selections and themes. Great place to initiate your love for cinema and watch some of the classics that have contributed to the formulation of modern cinema. The prices are not only fair but also there is live piano in silent movies.

Cosy small movie theater screening classics and cult movies. Most of them even shown on the original movie prints so beware there can be scratches and crackles. Cinematic offers a nostalgic trip in cinematic history and tickets are very affordable ranging around 5 euro's. The only thing missing is a curtain opening when the screening starts.
