China Garden

In corona tijden als deze eens gekozen voor afhaal. Ruime portie, dat wel, maar dat is het zowat. De gebakken rijst is totaal geen gebakken rijst, het is gewone witte rijst, niet eens van hoge kwaliteit maar heel basic. Het rundsvlees was erg taai en smaakloos, zelfs al was er gekozen voor een pikante saus. Het was vooral zoeken naar het vlees in de overigens vooral pot groenten die weinig of niks aziatisch hadden. Neem daarbij dat het toch wel stevige prijzen zijn. Teleurstelling en niet voor herhaling vatbaar

Ondanks de corona tijden, slagen ze er toch in om heerlijke gerechten klaar te maken. Porties waren ook meer dan voldoende (zeker als je nog een restje wil voor de volgende dag) en het was mooi op tijd klaar. De jongedame aan de toonbank was heel vriendelijk, alleen voor haar zou ik al terugkomen! Tip: Inktvis met Tsiu Yim saus!

Wij hebben een menu voor take away besteld. Het eten was over de hele lijn slecht en hebben we volledig moeten weggooien. Enkel de loempia kon er mee door. De tomatensoep hebben we mogen weggooien wegens een erg zure smaak. De hoofdmaaltijd stonk en smaakte ook slecht. Een ware tegenvaller en vooral weggesmeten geld!

Goede prijzen maar niet zo lekker. Ik was echt teleurgesteld met de dumplings :/ kip was ook smaaklos

Zeer aangenaam simpel restaurant met super versie gerechten ? Prijs kwaliteit TOP ? En vooral vriendelijke bediening ?

As always very good food!

Never tasted their food, they are rude and impatient. They literally took their menus from us and said maybe next time. Should not even give a star.

My friend and I spent a holiday at 'Woodside' B & B in 8820 Torhout, Belgium, during Christmas week, December, 2015. Whilst there, we were recommended by the owners Stacey & Luc, a good place at which to dine for a Chinese meal, namely a restaurant at 10 Bruggestraat, 8820 Torhout, named 'CHINA GARDEN - CHINESE RESTAURANT. which was not far away from where we were staying. We drove there and found plenty of parking space immediately outside the restaurant. The moment we entered the restaurant, we received a very good welcome from the Chinese lady and her daughter. They were most friendly and jovial and showed us a choice of tables for two at which to sit at. The menu was in 'Dutch/Flemish which we could not understand. However, they both spoke very good English, explained the meals on the menu which helped us to choose our course of meals. The service was very good, and the soup and meals prepared by the family chef, the husband was presented to us in abundance. The soup was delicious and the main meal very tasty, and substantial in size; more than enough to eat We thoroughly enjoyed both and the very pleasant surroundings in which we sat at a table and ate. We enjoyed our visit and meal so much, that we returned to the restaurant 'five' more times during our holiday over the Christmas. On each occasion, we received the same warm welcome from the lady and daughter who ensured that we were satisfied and enjoying our meal. We had both been to different Chinese Restaurants in several different western European countries over the years, and I have to say that the CHINA GARDEN CHINESE RESTAURANT was probably the best we had visited. The quality of food was good and well cooked, and the price was very reasonable and affordable for most people. We would have returned for more meals there, but our holiday was nearing the end, and had to return to Gloucester, UK. However, the next visit we pay to Belgium, we will certainly be returning to the CHINA GARDEN CHINESE RESTAURANT where we can be assured of a great welcome, in a very clean environment, and a very tasty meal at a very reasonable price. Well done CHINA GARDEN keep up the excellent standards.
