About Chez Jacques

Not a single vegetarian option on the menu. Chef was nice enough to cook up some pasta. Desert was excellent (it could be also due to hunger).

The dishes are classic for the area: fish, seafood, and meat, but the ambience touches something that can only be found in Brussels. Whether you choose the fixed menus, or à la carte, the value is great, and the food delicious. Adrien, the chef is often seen mingling with the guests, and the whole place has a family run vibe to it. Great for tourists and locals alike, Chez Jacques is always worth a visit in the St. Catherine neighborhood.
J	J Okochi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were looking for a lovely seafood restaurant to devour some mussels. We tried beaucop fish and were turned away quite rudely because they were fully booked. We stumbled on Chez Jacques and was glad we tried. The area was buzzing with lots of Pubs in the local area. The Food was super good. We had lots of mussels, a lovely soup complimentary of the house, a really yummy courgette shrimp fried dumpling type dish, a special for them. Some good fruity flavored white wine. staff were really friendly and helpful with recommendations. The mussels were fresh and hot- just what we needed on a cold rainy evening for dinner. Great place for seafood. Highly recommended.

Would not suggest to order the meat as fish is really the chef's specialty! I ordered the Cabillaud and my friend ordered the Solettes! It was super delicious! I did however take one star away because we had to wait 40 minutes before we were served (there was only one waitress for a full restaurant)! I'm a patient person but 40 minutes when I'm hungry is hard to let go! Otherwise absolutely recommend!

We did not take main courses but sticked only to the tapas. It was a good decision. Two-Three starters are enough for a person. The personnel was really friendly even if we had our two dogs with us. Thank you guys! We want also to say that the mussels were ????

I was only in Brussels for one night so I was very happy with the quality of food I received. The oysters were beautifully fresh and large. The mussels had a large variety of flavours as I worked my way through the dish. On top of everything, the pino grigio was one of the better ones I have had. Unfortunately I didn't take note of the bottle.
