★ ★ ★ ★ ★ philippe (i hope i write his name right) is a very kind person, he made me extra spaghetti without meat, and one evening he drove to a shop because he wants to make us pancakes. the chateau is really cozy and familiar. i will come back! ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great host. One of the best we have ever met. Philippe picked us up at the airport and was very helpful in commuting us to the train station and back each day. Room was quiet, cozy, wonderfully decorated. Same can be said about the living room downstairs - atmospheric with a story behind each knick-knack and feeling of the history breathing all around. Breakfast with fresh bread, fresh egg (produced by hen in the back courtyard), variety of jams, cheeses, wonderfully smelling coffee. Pool table, fridge full of beers, talks by fireplace. Great experience. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again!
If you do not have a transport, Philippe will help you with shuttle from and to airport or train-station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most unique and best experiences we have had. Made a spontaneous and last minute decision to stay out there! The host was exceptionally nice and welcoming from the moment we arrived - complete with beer on arrival! It was too late to get dinner from nearby so the host cooked us a traditional and amazing meal!
The room itself was fantastic, bed was ok, but was up made up for with great facilities including a coffee machine in the room!
Could not recommend this stay higher! The beautiful doggo was the icing on the cake!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The host is nice, but his confidence about the chateau is based on nothing. Very dirty, rats, a barking dog, plastic strips with flies, personal stuff of owner all around the place, disgusting toilets. It would have been okayish as a youth hostel, not as a proper hotel (expensive rooms). Nothing was cleaned properly. Weird atmosphere. I am used to old houses and hostels, but this was too dirty, expensive and strange. Never go here. It feels like you are staying with a weird uncle in his messy house.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful quiet castle! Philippe the owner is a great man and really gentle. And he makes you feel at home. Next time i will definitely come back. Other hotels nearby are nothing compared to stay in a castle!
