Château de la Motte

Quaiet and peacefull place beautiful soroundings. Nice place to a drink and a bite. The dishes are tastefully and variated enough. The place could be crowded during the weekend, but it's perfect during the week.

Friend had a wedding there. Nice setup, good beer on draught. The property has some ponds around the Terrance that smell terrible so hence the three stars.

The photos of a chateau are very misleading. The Chateau de la Motte is apparently a private residence and in front of it is a tower and restaurant with a large terrace overlooking a large meadow. It is all quite picturesque but the hotel rooms are in other buildings on another street, behind the dank and stinky pond. The room we had looked just like in the photos, with quaint decor, but what you cannot see is the smell. The rooms are musty and stink of fungus, which you can find around the windows and doorway as well as in the bathroom. The beds were freshly made but the sheets were of the worst quality I have ever seen, with "pilling" so large, about the size of lentils. The mattress is something which they probably inherited and after sleeping on it for two nights have had back pains for the past 3 weeks. I have already been to see a chiropractor and had a massage as well, but they said the stiffness is so intense that it will take many more visits before it will get better. So, what seemed like a good deal on Groupon turns out to be a fiasco. We paid half price for the room for the two nights, and that is, in my estimation, too much. Positive factors were the friendly people in the restaurant and the calm ambience. Otherwise, it was a waste of our time and money. The towns were further away and the landscape uninteresting. I find places in Germany much more quaint and less pricey.

The room was about 200 yards from the chateau. No phone, no heating , no kettle. The toilet was broken and water could be heard all night running through the toilet system. Why show a picture of a lovely Chateau, and put you a room nowhere near it. Breakfast does not start till 08:30, most working people leave early to their work, I was given a box with a basic packed breakfast. Just not good enough, I would not recommend.

10/10 for location and atmosphere of the restaurant. The rooms for rent are adequate, they are good but a little old and not in a theme. Just some random stuff together to make up the room. I missed the atmosphere of the restaurant in the rooms... too bad.

Very nice domain featuring a castle lots of vegetation with all kinds of animals. Nice pond and flowered gardens. Very cosy terrace where great food and drinks are served

Beautiful place to chill out after walk through gardens. Food was OK, prices quite average. The establishment itself is really beautiful. There are also naughty ducks and hungry fish in the pond. You can feed fish with bread. Kids will love it. There is also small kids playground, just to keep them a little bit busy. Staff is friendly, and public is quite and nice.

Beautiful setting, good service and honest prices. One of the best in the area
