★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Returned to this site but were unaware that the site has changed ownership. The new owners certainly have a lot to learn about customer service!
We arrived at lunchtime to find the reception closed for lunch and a queue of unhappy people, it's very difficult to arrive at a certain time when you have such a long distance to travel! Previously we were shown to our pitch and all the facilities were explained. Now we were just shown on a plan where our pitch was and left to it.
We had paid for electric hook up on our pitch but all of the outlets had been used. We asked at reception for help and nearly 2hrs later in 39 degree heat they sent someone over to have a look!
Eventually we managed to string together 3 leads to get power to our pitch!
We were also firmly told that they take recycling very seriously but when you go to the bin area there is rubbish all over the place as the bins were overflowing within a day of being emptied with flies and wasps everywhere. We will definitely be looking elsewhere in the future to stay for Spa events.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We used this campsite to attend the Club 100 Karting event located within the confines of the F1 Circuit. It took a two minute drive to Gate f and the entrance to the kart track. Reasonably priced we paid 95 Euros for three people, tent, electric hookup for three nights. We received a friendly welcome and the reception doubles as the bar/restaurant in the evening. Excellent facilities for camping. Plenty of space, electric hookup if required at an extra cost. Swimming pool and a well stocked Bar. The showers were clean and tidy and cost 50cents for 7 mins of hot water (more than enough time to shower). A Local bakery, supermarket and petrol station within a two minute drive. Approx 14 miles to Spa with some breathtaking scenery on route. Fantastic facility we will be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed here for the Grand Prix this year. It’s a simple clean site, in a picturesque setting with a little stream running through it. It’s easy to find and a half hour walk from the circuit. The people staying here along with the staff were very friendly and the F1 atmosphere is great. The fans have competitions to see who can pile up the most beer cans! ? lol . A fresh bread and croissant delivery arrives every morning and there is a small bar. There’s a supermarket less than a five min drive away- It’s All you need.
There are courtesy buses that run continuously from 7am -7pm Thursday- Sunday to the circuit.
The only negative thing was the lack of toilets at the far end of the camp, no toilet roll and a bit smelly. But we will be back .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very Dutch place. No common kitchen, but every spot has own electric outlet. Toilet is for free, but shower costs 0.15Eur
There is a river nearby. Nice place, but not remarkable

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked and paid a deposit to this campsite (148 euros) but due to Covid have been unable to attend. We were booked in for August 2021 but are unable to travel to Belgium due to not being double vaccinated. The Belgium government are not allowing travellers into Belgium who have not be double vaccinated. We fall into this category by a few weeks, as this is not our fault, we asked if we could postpone our trip until later in the year when we are able to enter Belguim. The answer was no, you forfeit your deposit even though we can't make the trip due to the Belgium government regulations.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not a bad place but a few points really let it down, easy fixes as well which would make it a 5* but the owners don't seem to want to implement them as many other reviewers have said them.
I'll start with the bad:
From the main road to the campsite entrance is strange tracks. One seems to go through a farmers yard and a hairpin, the other on some little gravel track. There are numerous forks and for some strange reason there is NOT ONE ROADSIGN. Why they don't put up a couple of signs is beyond me. We were on motorbikes so turning around was no big issue but I'd think differently if I was in a bit motorhome. This was my first impression and it wasn't great.
They have strict and pointless opening hours. Check in/out between 10-12 or 14-16 and nothing outside of that. Seems a tad unfriendly when most of your clients are travelling long distances. Also, we were there for the first opening up of terraces, hooray! Cash only though. Can we get something to eat? Yes, but only frituur food, and only between 18:30 and 19:30.
They only accept cash. In the year 2021. No bancontact or PayConiq or anything like that. Got no cash for a beer or some food? sucks to be you. You also have to pay for your accommodation in cash.
Now the good:
The place has a lot of redeeming qualities. We stayed in a fantastic chalet, they take great care to make sure it is fully equipped. Gave us a great welcome pack which had some toilet roll, washing up liquid, sponges and so on which was really handy. The kitchen was really well equipped with everything you need to eat and cook, pans, plates, bowls and so on. Plenty of seating inside and out. Great shower and separate toilet, everything works and it's really comfy. They even turned on the heating for us so it was warm when we arrived. Top marks for the chalet.
Kids playpark is also top notch, nice and big, reasonably close to the terrace which is also nice and big. If you have kids with you this place would be great. They also had a nice pool but it was 10 degrees so nobody was in it.
Shower blocks were great. Recycling is fantastic. Free WiFi all over, not amazingly fast but you can use it. The roads inside the campsite had just been repaved so they were super smooth and nice (the track to the campsite is terrible though.
Another point I was pleasantly surprised at - You can BBQ here! there is a 'no open fire' rule, as is normal for campsites, but this one allows BBQs next to your chalet/tent. The only rule they stated is that it has to be on the grass and not on the wooden decking. That's a sensible rule.
All in all 4*. If they add some road signs and get one of those stickers for PayConiq (which is trivial to set up) then it's a 5* campsite.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pathetic lack of business sense. Tried to move dates well in advance due to covid but was met with cancellation only and happy to keep my cash!. After much email traffic I quoted their stated terms and conditions back at them and eventually received a small percentage of my original full payment. All other sites were happy to either refund me or move my booking at no charge. In business you reap what you sow and hopefully this site will lose at least some future business on the back of my honest review.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked to stay here for the F1 Grand Prix in 2020 which ended up taking place behind closed doors. We were offered the opportunity to transfer our booking to 2021 which we accepted. The price increased so we had to pay an additional deposit to secure our booking. Unfortunately covid has continued to disrupt travel and at the time of writing this Belgium still not accepting travellers from UK.
In light of this, the company we bought our F1 tickets from offered the opportunity to transfer our tickets to 2022.
I contacted the campsite to ask if it was possible to transfer our booking with them to 2022. Much to my dismay I received a very abrupt e-mail informing me our booking was cancelled and they would be keeping our deposit (we have paid 180 Euros). I e-mailed again asking again if we could transfer our booking but informed this was not possible.
Whilst I appreciate that the last 18 months has been terribly tough for everyone especially the travel trade and Belgium has also been affected by the horrendous floods very recently we were very disappointed in the responses we have received. I would have completely understood if we had been charged an additional fee to transfer our booking.
So to anyone making a booking, be aware that although they have a statement on the website about corona and your booking they may not follow through on this.
Our booking was made prior to January 2021 which is part of the conditions of their so called corona guarantee but obviously made at a time when no one had even heard of corona 19.
Needless to say we will not be making a booking with this campsite again and I would urge others to beware.
