Nice place, good food

Nice staff, great food, great atmosphere !

Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for our Bouillabaisse. Having said that, it was pretty good. At the end of our dinner we asked for a drink to finnish off the evening. However we received the feedback that because it is 10.01pm that was not possible anymore. ‘The boss’ said that they stop serving at 10pm. Considering - we had given the feedback that an hour wait for bouiabaisse was a very long time, - the fact that we had to wait for 10 minutes to order the drinks and the fact that the first time around the waiter had accepted the order (9.59pm) - we never received a ‘last call for drinks’ - a bill of over €100 I feel so embarrassed living in Bruges. We should treat our guests better. Shame on you Cafedraal Team. Such nice food, but such poor service. What a missed opportunity! See you never again

The rudest waiter I have ever seen after waiting for 1,5 hour to get the main dish. At least it got funny as the waiter (rudely) said that this waiting time is normal for a restaurant like that. So, he felt like suggesting to go eat at a fast food instead as we were not ready to wait enough for a main dish. (Apart from this, the service was poor in general) However, there are many other nice places nearby!

My wife and I had booked a table at this restaurant tonight. It’s our honeymoon, we’ve just been married and were celebrating our first night as man and wife. We had booked a table in advance. When we arrived to an empty checkin desk no one greeted us…eventually after 10 minutes of waiting an extremely rude staff member appeared and bluntly directed us to ask the waiters outside for our pre-booked table. When the “waiter” eventually decided to talk with us he rudely and bluntly dismissed us and said “we’ve no tables, go wait inside”…no smile….no hello… no - we apologize for the inconvenience….when we challenged him and said we’d booked a table for 8pm he said go for a walk for 30 minutes and come back. We literally could not believe how rude, intolerable and unprofessional this person was. He (longish greased blond hair past his shoulders) had absolutely no people skills and was clearly lacking basic empathy. We were shocked by his behavior and decided to leave. If you are the business owner reading this you need to have a very stern conversation and reality check with your staff if you want to keep your business alive. You need to review your hiring practice. These people deserve to be fired immediately and new staff hired. A complete disgrace and unnecessary disappointment! We’re lucky another fantastic restaurant near by made our night and didn’t ruin our honeymoon! Shameful!! I look forward to seeing how rude and unapologetic the reply is from the restaurant below, maybe you’ll demonstrate once again your behavior but hopefully you’ll change for the better!

Last evening was my first time in Cafedraal. Most romantic magical evening I have had till now. The service was AMAZING! Loved the food, the music well chosen and not too loud. We are coming back every weekend. Can’t find such magical places in Brussels.

Absolutely flawless meal. Had the duck and rack of lamb for our mains and they were incredible. The duck was cooked perfectly and the lamb was as soft as butter. Amazing atmosphere in the restaurant as well, beautiful lighting and decor. Service was very friendly and prompt. A must visit if you want a special meal in Bruges
