Details to create a good image for potential customers. In short, avoid this real estate agency!
When I moved into my first apartment, there were problems right from the start:
- Incomplete documentation
- The rental contract that I was only able to sign after a few weeks after having to contact me several times.
- Have to ask several times to be able to receive the keys.
- I had to contact C-plus myself to get the description of the place in order. The landlord referred to C-plus, and C-plus then told me that this had to go through the landlord. No clear communication at all between the two parties.
When I decided to leave the apartment, the deposit was made very difficult, which they said I could not reclaim if not all residents gave notice (2 other residents who were already there before me). Despite even contacting C-plus and asking several times to provide clear information. In the end, I kept being referred back to the landlord.
A new resident moved in before everything was in order from my side, my deposit suddenly had to guarantee the new resident. It took me almost 2 years to get it back.
I eventually moved from the top floor to the ground floor (different house number).
When I entered the ground floor, I had to contact both the landlord and C-plus myself to get the contract in order, to have the description of the place done and to ask several times when I could hand over the keys to the upper floor. Again I was referred to each other by both parties.
Due to the many problems with the house, I eventually contacted the city of Ghent to have the house checked and it was declared unsuitable. I think that step saved me in order to be able to reclaim the deposit from both the first apartment and the house on the ground floor.
Because of all the problems with C-Plus and the landlord (I won't name a few but the list is very long) I almost lost my mind mentally. For me there will never be a collaboration again in the future. This game has lasted 2 long years.
Based on other reviews, I see that C-plus contacts people who leave a negative review, this is my right and I do not want to be contacted by you.

β β β β β Strongly discourage dealing with this agency! By 2020 most of their apartments will be declared unrentable.
At the end of September 2018, I responded on an advertisement that had been out there for at least a couple months. The EPC value was way over 400 but the location was alright.
After a visit, it became clear that the place was uninhabitable as is. There was no kitchen, no electricity and nasty water damage on the ceiling.
That's where all the promises were made: "Next week someone's fixing the electricity, the kitchen will be installed before someone moves in, the back window will be replaced with double glass, the water damage is an ongoing insurance matter but should be cleared soon, ...".
Before you continue reading, I take blame for my inexperience and blind trust in their 'expertise'.
Blinded by the good location and their promises that the place would soon be inhabitable, I visited their office around 13:30 because they're only open from 9:00 - 12:30 and from 13:30 - 17, I repeatedly asked them to make an appointment after 18:00 (after work hours). They told me they couldn't and that I should figure it out.
Anyway, I went there to make further arrangements and on arrival they asked me to pay a deposit of β¬250 so they could take the advertisements down. I trusted their expertise so I paid and signed a paper that said that I woulnd't get the β¬250 back.
They also gave me a paper, listing the costs to be paid when I sign the contract. The list stated: 2 months of rent as deposit (β¬1280), first month of rent (β¬680 incl. extra costs) for the month December?, β¬92 To register the current state of the apartment, β¬50 moving cost? +β¬2000 in total (including the β¬250 'pre-deposit')! So, they target people that are available from 9h-17h and can put up β¬2000 at once for an uninhabitable apartment? Way to go!
I asked what the β¬50 moving cost is for, "because you might use the elevator more than regular and load it with boxes". An old elevator that could barely contain two small men squeezed together, Ridiculous!
So we tried to reason with the agency and asked them to drop the cost if we promise not to use that pathetic elevator. Their answer: "You can say that but how can we trust that you won't?". Really? I just paid you β¬250 for an apartment as sign of trust that I won't just walk out of the deal!
Another argument was: "It would be unfair to the other tenants if we drop the cost for you", okay that might be true but our arrangements should be of no interest of the other tenants, right? Anyway again not the slightest sign of flexibility on their side.
Next up, we barely entered the month October and I'd have to pay the rent for the month December? Why would I do that anytime before the end of November? Well, they could only try, right? No decency, no help/support.
Suprise, they showed flexibility and arranged for me to pay it the end of November but I should sign the contract as soon as possible. So, the apartment had no kitchen, no electricity, water damage was barely worth half the price, yet they needed me to sign the contract based on their promises. I refused to sign before I'd see the apartment fixed up as promised. Good that the people around me stopped me from making any more mistakes, so I waited. While waiting they did a few more attempts to make me sign it.
At the start of November they made clear that if I didn't sign it, they want to cancel me out as candidate and search for a new one. I told them once more I wasn't going to sign it before they fulfilled their promises and insisted on a 2nd visit. The visit wouldn't be possible because the kitchen will be placed the week before 19 November. And by that time it would too late because December would be around the corner and the owner would've lost a lot of time if I were to back-out then.
Why did I insist on the 2nd visit? Because the first paragraph of the contract stated that I agree with the current state of the apartment which was by that time still as uninhabitable as a few months before and many more reasons...

β β β β β Very unprofessional agency. Poor communication. Extremely slow return of deposits to students (over 2 months) I would not recommend using this agency.
