So I bought a bread and paid with my Mastercard, transaction approved. Dialogue following :
-Was this Not Visa? Because we accept only Visa. No other cards.
-Was Mastercard. But should be OK. POS says transaction approved
-Yes but it charges us 1 € commission. Now you have to pay me 1 more € in cash or with another of your cards that is Visa.
-Excuse me but how should I know beforehand? You didn't tell me, you have no sign that you don't accept it, and you haven't disabled Mastercard acceptance from your POS.
-Yes but you should know. Everybody pays with Visa here. Can you check if you have one euro in coin or pay with your VISA?
-I do not understand it. I didn't do any mistake as a customer but you ask me to pay something because you omitted to inform me beforehand? I do not get it. I find this unfair and completely anticommercial to blame the customer.
-OK, if you don't want to pay then go. But I made 3 euros instead of 4 euros because of that.
I just cannot believe that the lady insisted on blaming a customer for her mistake and ask 1 euro, so strange.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I pay visa or MasterCard there is commission of 1 euro unless I shop for more than 20 euros. Lady told me this is a common things... well - 1 client less - is it a common for you?Living 5 years in Antwerp and never heard such a commons :) good luck with common customers!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bakery has a very special atmosphere and the quality of its products is high. You will feel warmth and love, passion and tradition. When I went only local people had their generous baguette sandwiches. I bought 2 tarts that I carried all the way to London and they were delicious. Note: they don’t take Monzo card but cash point is not far.

It looks gorgeous from the outside, decorated like an old-school bakery with a very high focus on small details.
This is continued inside where you will be helped by a friendly lady. The bread was super tasty!
Only 1 person allowed inside now, so there could possibly be a small waiting line.
