I took an assortment of charcuterie which were so delicious and of high quality, a melting and perfectly seasoned parmigiana, an incredibly tender saltimbocca and the pana cotta and the tiramisu were also very good. To accompany this they have a beautiful Italian wine cellar and they will advise you according to your needs. Thank you Chef Matteo and Emilie and the whole team, we will definitely be back.

If you want to find the real flavors of Italy, it's here. Very nice imported products, cooked with precision. Everything is homemade, even the bread. Smiling and cool service. Not cheap, but the quality is definitely worth it.

First, the positives: - The food was tasty - fresh (Altamura?) bread, an amuse bouche, the excellent mixed appetizer for two with coldcuts, cheeses, picked vegetables, and delicious fried bites, and hot and correctly cooked pasta. - The service was reasonably efficient. The negatives: - Extremely expensive for this sort of salumeria dining, even by Brussels standards. We paid over EUR 80 for a medium size lunch for two without any alcohol. A small 0.5l of San Pellegrino was nearly EUR 5. An espresso - EUR 3. The appetizer for two - EUR 24. - Pasta is a whole another story price-wise: pasta dishes are available in small (starter) or large (main). I asked for a starter size, and the manager started saying that this is nonsense and he will not put in the order because the amount is too small, and complaining that people order the smaller size to save money, etc. A totally odd comment to make I think, directly to the face of your patrons. As it happens it was not the reason. Based on a typical serving size, I thought I would have been happy with a starter size. Be it as it may, we ordered two full size pasta dishes. He was right in the sense that even then the portions were on the smaller side. I've never seen anything like this. My vegetarian pasta cost EUR 24 (and this is not with truffle or anything), my husband's pasta with nothing but cheese and black pepper was EUR 19. I thought places like Osteria Romana were scandalously overpriced, but this takes it to a whole another level. - I did not like the dessert - chocolate mousse with amarena, too greasy and overly sweet and most certainly not worth anywhere near EUR 9.50. Overall fine, but I certainly think we can do better for this price range.

If you can ask to be at the " comptoir" .it is a real pleasure to watch cooking. The menu has a nice selection of dishes . The service polite and dedicated. Very taste .. a simple tomato mozzarella is plenty of savours. I will come back !

Banning is an absolutely great local place. Authentic amazing Italian cuisine. I super recommend the pasta with truffles... and everything else. Beautiful interior, local flare, open kitchen, awesome owners. Go now !

The food is very nice and they have a wide selection of wines. But their menu is quite expensive. They should have a menu of their wines with the price in it. Service was slow, we waited a long time between the starter and the main. It’s an okay experience overall but there are better Italian places in Brussels at a fairer price.
