β β β β β Om een verdwaalde azijnpisser die trachtte de sfeer te verpesten voor te zijn: we hebben daar lekker en gezellig gegeten, snelle vriendelijke bediening. De kok tovert daar met liefde voor zn vak fantastische dingen op een bord. De bazin straalt zijn passie over op haar klanten. Goed bezig daar!
 To be ahead of a stray vinegar pisser who tried to ruin the atmosphere: we had a nice and cozy dinner there, fast friendly service. The chef conjures up fantastic things on a plate with love for his profession. The owner radiates his passion to her customers. Well done there!

β β β β β Heerlijk gegeten hier!
Mooie gezellige ambiance. Ik als horeca kenner hier gegeten en genoten. Vooraf bij ons drankje, een amuse in een glaasje gekregen met romige patΓ©crΔme met gebakken uitjes erop. Als hoofdgerecht heb ik de spareribs en overheerlijk Belgische verse frietjes genomen. Die waren overheerlijk. Het vlees viel van het bot en de frietjes waren van verse aardappels! Mijn partner nam de biefstuk met als sidedish gratin. Die was mooi medium rare en supermals. De smaak van de biefstuk was ook wederom overheerlijk. De gratin was mooi moelleux en lekker van smaak. De kaas die hierop gebruikt is mij nog een raadsel? Ik denk zelf of een gruyΓ¨re of een tallegio. Vriendelijke bediening alleen te weinig personeel. Waardoor je lang moest wachten op je eten en om af te rekenen. Hier door hebben wij ook geen dessert en of koffie na genomen. Ook veel last van ongedierte zoals muggen vliegjes die om je heen vlogen. Wat fraai irritant was. Maar voor de rest was het een prima restaurant om te eten. De naam bar, cafΓ© is daarom niet de juiste benoeming.

Nice cozy ambiance. As a catering connoisseur, I ate here and enjoyed it. Before our drink, we received an amuse-bouche in a glass with creamy pÒtécrème with fried onions on top. As a main course I took the spare ribs and delicious Belgian fresh fries. They were delicious. The meat fell off the bone and the fries were fresh potatoes! My partner had the steak with a sidedish gratin. It was nice medium rare and super tender. The taste of the steak was also delicious. The gratin was nicely moelleux and had a good taste. The cheese used on this is still a mystery to me? I myself think either a Gruyère or a Tallegion. Friendly service only too few staff. Which made you have to wait a long time for your food and to pay. Because of this we did not have dessert and / or coffee afterwards. Also a lot of pests such as mosquitoes flies that flew around you. Which was beautifully annoying. But otherwise it was a great restaurant to eat. The name bar, café is therefore not the correct description.

β β β β β Bijzonder gemotiveerde eigenaars. Doen alle moeite zodat wij als klant, steeds tevreden zijn. Wij halen er regelmatig gerechten af. Stuk voor stuk verzorgde, lekkere gerechten. En steeds een klein attentie bij! Ondanks de vele zaken in Houthalen, blijft deze onze favoriete.
Very motivated owners. Make every effort to ensure that we, as a customer, are always satisfied. We regularly collect dishes. Each and every one of the finest, tasty dishes. And always a small gift! Despite the many things in Houthalen, this one remains our favorite.
