J	Jemiann Puno on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place for casual dining. Service was very friendly and quick. The fish was crispy and flavorful. Chips were my favorite here and they give a generous portion! Also, their strawberry basil lemonade was surprisingly good! Not too sweet and tasted good with the meal~ Next time I will have to try more sauces.

The fish (I always take the lemon basil tempura) has a crispy, not-too-heavy coat, the fries have the right amount of salt and overall a very generous portion (especially considering the price). Cherry on the cake, customer service is number one here! My order got mixed up and in response, they offered the beer for me and apologised like 20 times (not something I’m used to in Belgium). RECOMMENDED!

It's nothing too fancy which is nice for a casual place to sit down and eat. Staff is friendly which is great. Open late which is another plus!
W	William Blackler on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such good fish and chips and far better than any I’ve had in the uk. Really interesting combinations, our favourites were the curry special and the Mexican (especially the lime and jalapeño sauce). The lovely staff kept us coming back as well.

This place opens onto a small square (shared by other pubs) that they’ll deliver your order to, or you can sit at one of their five outside tables, or inside as I did. There are suggestions posted on the wall for the recommended beer, which I tried, and was good. They also post what kind of fish is served with the corresponding number on the menu. Lovely, as the restaurant obviously changes the menu regularly. (I was a little irritated that the fish posted for the order I wanted wasn’t delisted. When I tried to order it the server responded, “That is impossible...”) What I did order was the recommended crab sandwich and the Argentinian fish and chips. Both came with a side of sauce that had a spicy kick to them. The mushy peas come with a hint of mint, and were a nice twist. I would eat there again to try the other offerings. Bia Mara is a nice, cozy place serving delicious food.

It’s a easy place to recommend if you’re a fan of fish and chips. I think it’s reasonably priced for the quality and freshness of the food. Right now it’s one of my favourite places to eat out.
