★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Benoit is a artist luthier, and someone who is tremendously well-educated in the history of the acoustic, electric and harp guitar in particular. His quirky shop is one of those unique places in Brussels that seem to have been there forever, and it is filled to bursting with interesting instruments both of his own design and those he or his associate luthiers have restored. As he himself is interested in building unusual or one-of-a-kind guitars, he can source many unusual parts from his own stock or from suppliers. But he also can do repair or setup on pretty much anything.
I've been going to his shop for over ten years now. I've always found him to be clear with me about the cost of repairs or of new builds, and the parts and the workmanship he provides are reasonably priced and of excellent quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great improvement in the playability of my Steve Vai's Ibanez acoustic. Ben knows what he is talking about, and the guitar feels much better now. For a reasonable price. Thank you Ben ????

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ben does fine work. I've been taking my guitars to him for repairs for almost 20 years and have always been satisfied with service and price. I've even trusted my beloved '86 MIJ Tele to him for refretting and for pickup replacement and wiring, and the work has been top-notch. Go ahead, ring the doorbell... but only during business hours ;-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After years of shopping around and giving lots of money to so called "luthiers" for less than acceptable jobs, I finally found the real deal: Ben is a savvy, well prepared and totally reliable professional, who certainly knows his way around the instrument.
I brought in my EVH Wolfgang for a setup and when I got it back, I found that the already good playability increased considerably after he worked his magic on it, not to mention the visible care that went into the maintenance of every part of the instrument. All this for an incredible price compared to the average!
I would entrust him with my guitars for any kind of job (on acoustic and electric), knowing they are in good hands. Absolutely recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm a beginner guitarist, I asked Ben to setup the entry-level semi-hollow Ibanez I had bought second hand, and even my inexperienced hands now notice an improvement in playability. Also, it feels good to know my guitar has passed through the hands of a professional luthier.
When I level up and reward myself with a better instrument, I'll certainly come back for the setup again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really would like to give a lot of stars but unfortunately I can't. I was looking for a - if not professional - at least decent fret job and all I got was a mere tinkered press & glueing action without even removing the frets and clean the slots. As a result they are still sticking out of the wood (reason why I came in the first place). And to do that it took a whole week. Now I understand better why the discounted price, hence the 2 stars and not only one. Next time I will choose a better shop...

As I was imagining, Ben has replied quite arrogantly here. But fact is I never asked for a 300 eur job, just to do something to improve the fret job of this probably Japanese Höfner copy from the 80ies, not that cheap. After examining the neck, a price of 100 eur was announced (not 300), and I said ok. Then finally paid 60 which was good news ...until I tried the bass at home and looked more closely only to find out that unfortunately there is no improvement whatsoever. In summary, I drove 2x40 km and paid 60 eur for no improvement at all.
