Corsendonk Baalse Hei | Camping in de Belgische Kempen - Baalsehei.be
Ruimte, rust en vooral veel privacy. Dat zijn de troeven van Baalse Hei. Dit prachtig 36 ha grote verblijfspark, verscholen in een natuurgebied, trekt vooral veel rustzoekers en natuurgenieters.

β β β β β Camping is fine, but the showers are ridiculous; 50 cents for 6 minutes(!). The system 'needs warming up' or something, so you keep inserting coins while nothing happens. Plse upgrade to the 21st century?

β β β β β it is as most reviews say, a very lush setting, really nice environment with a lot of whistling birds and squirrels. the showers and toilet are indeed a little dated but that's ok on its own, but they just aren't cleaned well and enough, during a pandemic you'd expect a better standard. all in all a great place, if you have own washing infrastructure it's really not that much of an issue.

β β β β β Campsite is massive, but well laid out. Showers are poor and unreliable, too hot/too cold, need a token from reception β¬0.50. Restaurant food is ok, service is very poor. 3km to nearest shops/restaurants.

β β β β β We spent a week here this summer (July 2018). Camping pitches are spacious, situated along the edges of rectangular fields. Every single pitch has a water tap. Take care to have a pitch on the shady side of the field. Also remember to keep some change as having a hot shower costs 50 cents. Having a cold one for free is not an option. Nothing much special about the place although it offers a natural pond for swimming. Fresh bread is available on order but not before 9am. I recommend driving down to the village of Retie for a canoe trip down the river Nete. It takes you through a pretty part of the country. Not for thrill seekers.

β β β β β Friday-Sunday stay, 1 camper + 2 tents. Overall good experience: nice welcome, roomy spots, clean toilets & showers. Lot's of opportunity for biking & walking. Bakery service offered.
